One in nine Australians has asthma. At the park, the beach, the school fete — someone nearby is carrying a reliever right now. EVAC is how you ask.

Call 000 first, always. This reaches members of the public who chose to help. It is not an ambulance, nobody here is trained by us, and it is never a substitute for carrying your own medication.

The ask

The ask goes to people nearby who said yes to being asked. Their phone decides for itself — and a helper appears only when they choose to come.

The scan is made of answers. A count exists only because phones replied.

No list. No map. No register. We never know where anybody is — and neither do you, until somebody answers.

Privacy is the architecture, not a setting.

Nobody appears until they choose to come. One accepts, you talk — without either of you sharing a phone number.

Answering is not consenting to be located.

"I know CPR" is what they said. Self-declared, always labelled as such. We verify none of it — pretending we had would be the dangerous thing.

Honest about its limits, because somebody will rely on it.

The person most likely to carry a reliever is somebody who needs one. Say once what you carry or know — and choose, every single time.

Your location is never on. The ask arrives like a notification; your phone checks the distance itself and tells nobody unless you tap.

Helping is opt-in and off by default.

Keep an eye out: red jumper, about eight, near the playground ten minutes ago.

Eyes out for a missing person. The description, never the name.

Anywhere, not just buildings. The park, the beach, the school fete.
